How to contact the court to file a divorce after finishing the conciliation sessions?
Q: Salam Aleykum, Please, I request your help. I have a case in Dubai Court about a divorce request. I had all the Conciliation Sessions and I finished that on Feb 14. The Conciliator asked me to request an appointment with the judge to explain to him my case. But supposedly the Court should send me an email with the document needed to request the appointment and I am still waiting for it until now. So, where can I complain about it or ask where is the document? I wrote many times in different emails in the Court but no one answered me. I am super worried because he told me in 2 months it will expire if I don’t request the appointment. He won`t answer my WhatsApp or the phone.

The landlord's agent is demanding key money. Is it legal?
Q: Hi Raluca, We are trying to secure a shop in Al Satwa area, and the landlord`s agent (not sure if RERA registered) is demanding key money. The rent is 65k, and the key money being demanded is 45k. If we sign the agreement with the key money included, can we then claim it back as an unlawful demand? We have tried to argue not to pay it, but the agent is saying all shops this landlord has are demanding it. Interestingly, the agent suggested I could pay 5k to him and 40k as key money, so it is clearly not a charge being laid down by the landlord/building owner. Thanks!

Landlord selling: Vacate by contract end or wait for notice period to expire?
Q: Hi, My landlord sent me a legal notice informing me of his intention to sell the apartment. As a result, he will not be renewing the tenancy contract which ends on 31-07-2024. The legal notice is dated 21-02-2024. I am aware that as per RERA there needs to be a 12-month notice in such cases. My question is do I have to vacate once my contract ends on 31-07-2024 or after the notice period lapses i.e. 21-02-2025?

How to defend a revenge case raised by a client company that refuses to pay our fees?
Q: I run a technical services LLC company in Dubai. A construction company had not paid us our work payment. So I left the work and made a court case for the recovery but my case was refused by the court. Q: Hello, My son-in-law applied for a job in Abu Dhabi. He got the security clearance and was told by the company to quit his current job. A registered eviction notice was not delivered by the courier. Is it still valid?
Q: Hi, An eviction notice was registered through a notary public, but the courier didn`t deliver it because the tenant wasn`t home, didn`t pick up the phone, and the paper was not stamped on the door, hence, the tenant never knew of it. Is the eviction notice valid? Thank you!
