I finished all execution steps. How to prevent the employer from lifting travel ban until paying my dues?

My labor implementation case is currently in progress.

Despite taking several steps, such as inquiring about the bank account and blocking the traffic file, my employer has not responded and disregarded the court's decision. As a result, I requested a travel ban, and the court accepted my request.

Now, the employer is actively working to lift the travel ban. He has submitted six requests to the court for its cancellation, arguing that he is a local, the company is an LLC, and he comes from a reputed family.

He also stated that the highest court had declared the travel ban to be a violation of human rights and that the non-payment was due to the company’s financial losses, not the manager’s fault. However, the court rejected his request.

The employer has now filed a grievance with the Execution Circuit for the Court Head.

Could you advise me if there is anything I need to do?

Should I just patiently wait to see how the court proceeds with the case against the company manager?

As the employer continues to submit the cancellation of the travel ban, and based on your expertise, will the court lift the travel ban without payment?

Stay informed about developments in the case, and be sure to check the court’s online system regularly for updates.

If the presiding judge issues a decision, you will have the legal opportunity to appeal or file a substantiated objection if the decision is not in your favor.

Dear Questioner,

Thank you for your inquiry and for providing the details of the current situation with your labor implementation case.

Based on the information you’ve shared, it seems that the court has already accepted your request for a travel ban and has rejected your employer's repeated requests for its cancellation.

The employer's recent grievance filing with the Execution Circuit for the Court Head is a procedural move often taken when one party contests the court's ruling.

Under UAE law, when the employer files a grievance, it will be reviewed by the relevant court, which will determine whether to uphold or alter the travel ban.

Since the court has already rejected multiple requests for lifting the travel ban, it is likely that the court will continue to uphold its previous decision, but this will depend on its review of the grievance and any new information presented by the employer.

At this point, there is no immediate action required on your part, as the matter is currently under the court’s consideration.

We recommend that you remain patient and allow the court to proceed with its review. It is essential that you continue to monitor the developments closely.

Please note that if the employer's grievance is successful in having the travel ban lifted, you still have the right to challenge the ruling through appropriate legal channels.

However, the court’s current position and your successful request for a travel ban are significant advantages in your case.

Please feel free to reach out for further assistance.

Best regards,
