Can I apply for Amnesty 2024 with a bounced cheque and credit card debt?

Hi,

Amnesty 2024 has just started, and I really want to apply for it, but I have a company bounced cheque and personal credit card debt.

Is there any solution to avail of the amnesty and legalize my status? If yes, what is the step-by-step procedure?

Thank you to those who can enlighten me on this question, and God bless us all!

Dear Questioner,

If you have a place to change your status to, you may process the amnesty and your visa as it currently stands, especially in Dubai.

Having a civil case doesn't prohibit you from renewing or changing the status of your visa.

Thank you!

Dear Questioner,

According to the UAE amnesty law, individuals with bounced cheques and personal credit card debts are eligible to apply for amnesty and legalize their status.

Here are the step-by-step procedures to avail of the amnesty:

1. Visit the nearest amnesty center:

The first step is to visit the nearest amnesty center in your area. These centers are set up by the UAE government to assist individuals with their amnesty applications.

2. Submit your documents:

You will need to submit your original passport, Emirates ID, and any other relevant documents such as your employment contract, bounced cheque, or credit card statement.

3. Fill out the application form:

You will be required to fill out an application form with your personal details, including your current address and contact information.

4. Attend the interview:

Once your application is submitted, you will be called for an interview at the amnesty center. During the interview, you will be asked about your current situation and the reason for your overstay or illegal status.

5. Pay the fees:

If your application is approved, you will be required to pay the necessary fees for the amnesty process. The fees may vary depending on your case.

6. Obtain exit permit:

Once the fees are paid, you will be issued an exit permit, which will allow you to leave the country without facing any penalties.

7. Leave the country:

You will have a specific period of time to leave the country, usually 30 days, after obtaining the exit permit.

Dear Questioner,

Amnesty will be applicable for overstay and immigration issues. Orders issued based on execution procedures have no direct impact on this.

If you want to renew your visa status, you need to get permission from the court.

If you need further clarification, kindly share your WhatsApp number.
