Can a person bring a product to the UAE using someone else's trading license?

Dear Sir/Madam,

Can a person bring a product to the UAE using someone else's trading license and sell it? Or can I make a complaint against such a person?

I believe that person might use another person's billbook to evade this issue. The sellers are on visit visas without a license.

Suggestions, please!

Hi,

In the UAE, it is required to have the appropriate license to conduct commercial activities, including selling products.

Using someone else’s trading license to sell products is not permitted and can be considered illegal.

Individuals or businesses must comply with all legal, regulatory, professional, and technical requirements, including obtaining necessary approvals, permits, and licenses from the competent authority.

If you suspect that someone is selling products on a visit visa without a license or using another person’s trading license, you can file a complaint with the relevant authorities.

The UAE has specific legal provisions for protecting consumer rights and regulating commercial activities.

You can report such unauthorized selling activities to the Department of Economic Development (DED) in the respective emirate or through the consumer protection services provided by the Ministry of Economy.
