What is the procedure for accepting a new job offer while currently employed?
Hello,
What is the procedure for accepting a new job offer while currently employed?
Also, legally speaking, should one accept a MOHRE contract or a company contract?
Some suggest that when currently employed, a new company cannot provide a MOHRE contract until the visa cancellation is complete and the notice period has been served.
Thank you!
Dear user,
You have to resign legally first from your current job, and serve the notice period as mentioned in your employment contract, then in order for your new company to issue you a visa, your visa from your current company should be cancelled.
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
To accept a new job offer while employed in the UAE, follow these steps:
Review the new job offer, resign from your current job, ensure your current visa is canceled, sign the new employment contract (either from your new employer or MOHRE), and have your new employer initiate the work permit application process.
Be aware of probationary periods in your new contract and ensure compliance with UAE labor laws. The type of contract (MOHRE or company-specific) can vary depending on the employer's policies and agreements.
