Resignation refused. How to join a new employer?
Dear Sir/Madam,
Currently, I have been working at a private hospital for the past month. I recently received a job offer letter from a government hospital. Consequently, I submitted my resignation letter, effective immediately.
However, they are not accepting my resignation and have threatened to file a case against me for absconding if I don't report for duty.
I attempted to contact the HR department, but unfortunately, the HR representative is on leave, and no one else is addressing my situation.
I would appreciate your assistance and advice in this matter.
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
If your current employer is not accepting your resignation and threatening legal action, in that case, it's essential to follow these steps:
Review your employment contract, communicate your intent to resign via email, seek legal advice if needed, serve any required notice period, document all communication, inform your new employer about the situation, and, if necessary, file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) for assistance.
For any further legal assistance, you can WhatsApp us. We have an extensive team of knowledgeable and experienced lawyers to provide the legal assistance you need.
We will be happy to help you.
Thanks & Regards,
ABDUL WAHIED
