Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
How can we get a company to pay us for the services provided?
We are a medical center in Abu Dhabi that provided round-the-clock PCR services to the staff of a Marine company in Abu Dhabi between July and November 2022.
The credit period for payment has expired more than 4 months ago, and the company has not provided any updates regarding our outstanding payment of over 100,000 AED.

س: هناك شركة تدين لي بثلاثة ملايين درهم.
نظرًا لصعوبة الدفع، عرضت عليهم خصم مليون درهم من قيمة الدين شريطة التزامهم بخطة دفع متفق عليها تم إرسالها إليهم ولدي نسخة منها.
مضى حتى الآن أكثر من عام وهم لم يلتزموا بخطة الدفع. هل يمكنني رفع قضية ضدهم للمطالبة بالمبلغ المتبقي إضافة إلى قيمة الخصم الذي قدمته إليهم؟

س: سيدتي المحترمة،
أنا مقدم خدمات تكنولوجيا المعلومات، حصلت على مشروع تنفيذ نظام لإحدى الشركات في أبو ظبي.
أتممت المشروع وأرسلت الفاتورة طبقًا لذلك، لكن العميل لم يقم بدفع الفاتورة. تبلغ قيمة الفاتورة حوالي 30000 دولار أمريكي.
دعوت إلى عقد اجتماع للجنة التوجيهية طبقًا لبنود العقد لكي نحل مشكلة عدم الدفع لي، لكن فريق تكنولوجيا المعلومات الذي أقوم بإبلاغه يرفض اجتماع اللجنة التوجيهية.
لدي مشاريع أخرى تجري بالتوازي مع هذا العميل. قمت بتعليق هذه المشاريع بسبب عدم دفعهم للدَّين، وأوقفت كل الأنشطة عن طريق الإخطار المناسب، ولدي كل التفاصيل على البريد الإلكتروني، ولا يزالون يرفضون الدعوة إلى عقد اجتماع / حل هذا الموضوع.
ما هي خياراتي للحصول على هذا المال؟ وإذا توجب عليّ أن أوظف محاميًا، فما هي الرسوم لذلك؟

Now he is not answering the phone, and the property is still in use.

I have lived in Dubai for 5 years. I left Dubai in November this year on an outpass to return to London, UK, for a family emergency.

A company failed to deliver the promised freelance visa. How can I get a refund?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I paid money to a documents clearing company in Dubai to process a freelance visa for me. After receiving payment, they kept delaying and didn't even start the process.
Doubting their intentions, I have demanded a refund of my payment, which they are now delaying as well. They keep promising they will do it in a day or two but are not keeping their word.
I have payment proof in the form of an invoice issued by them and proof of the refund request in a WhatsApp conversation, where they repeatedly say they will do it but have not followed through.
What action can I take against them to recover my money?

How to handle delays in interest payments from an investment company?
Dear Sir/Madam,
An investment company in Dubai has consistently been late with almost every payment of interest due every six months.
They do not acknowledge that the payment is late, even though the certificate states that it will be paid on 10 May and 10 Nov each year from 2020 to 2025.
The longest delay so far has been 26 days, with only one payment being 2 days early. They do not answer my calls or messages.
The payment due on 10 Nov this year is still awaited as of 26 Nov. What can I do?

My rent cheque was bounced, and my landlord filed a case against me in Sharjah Court. I received a fine of 2,000 AED, which was later reduced to 1,000 AED upon appeal.
Does this case count as a criminal conviction under UAE law, or was it handled as a civil matter?
If I apply for a U.S. visa, will I need to submit court records under the requirement for applicants with past convictions?
