Terminating an employee during probation: 14 or 30 days' notice?
Dear Sir/Madam,
If an employee is still on probation period, can the employer terminate the contract with 14 days' notice even if the employment contract states 30 days' notice?

If the employment agreement specifies a 30-day notice period, the employer typically should adhere to that notice period even during the probationary period.

According to law, he needs to send a 14-day notice to the employee if he is under probation in order to terminate the employment.
If anything contrary to the articles is mentioned in the employment contract, the law will prevail.

Dear questioner,
Following the current UAE Labor Law, the Employer may terminate the service of the Worker during the probation period after notifying the Worker of the same in writing at least (14) fourteen days before the date specified for termination of service.
You may also be entitled to compensation, which we could talk about further if you are interested.
