Q: Hello, My partner left his job in December as they were refusing to pay him his salary and refusing to pay his overstay fines although they told him they were doing so when completing the visa process. As a result, he could no longer afford to go to work while not being paid. Both he and the employer opened a case with the labor. We traveled home for Christmas and while there received a message from labor that complaints on both sides were dropped. We returned to the UAE in January and he started a new job. The new employer applied for a visa but it was denied as the previous employer reported absconding. Just wondering how to get the absconding lifted. We were also due to go on vacation during spring break, so will we be able to travel or not? Thank you
