Rent increase without 90-day notice if the landlord is changed. Is this legal?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have not been served with a 90-day notice of any rent increase. The agent says that the landlord has changed, and that is why the rent is being increased.
My assumption is that even if the landlord has changed, they still have to give me 90 days' notice of any rent increase. Is that correct?
Also, this is only my first-year renewal. When I checked the RERA valuation, it showed that there is no rent increase allowed.
Please help!

Hi,
Pursuant to your query, either party to the tenancy contract must serve at least 90 days' notice before amending the contract.
If this is not done, the landlord, whether new or old, has no right to increase the rent.
The contract will be renewed with the existing terms and conditions.
