س: لقد قدمت طلب لاستخراج تأشيرة جديدة لطفلي وظلت معلقة لفترة طويلة.
عندما تواصلت مع إدارة الهجرة، أخبروني أن هناك قضية شرطة مرفوعة ضدي. أخبرني البنك قبل ذلك أن هناك قضية بطاقة ائتمان واحدة مسجلة ضدي ولكنهم الآن يطالبون بضعف حد بطاقة الائتمان.

Q: Dear Sir,

I am writing to seek your advice regarding a debt case filed in 2016 in the UAE. The debt amounts to approximately 45,000 AED (20,000 AED cheque amount and 25,000 AED credit card amount).
The associated interest has now possibly exceeded 150,000 AED. I have recently secured a job in Dubai and am eager to return; however, I am currently unable to pay the full debt amount.
I am aware of a court fine of 5,000 AED. I would like to understand if there is any possibility of returning to Dubai by paying only this court fine and lawyer fee.
Could you please advise on any available legal avenues or procedures that may allow me to resolve this matter and return to Dubai under these circumstances?
Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Can I pay the fine to close a credit card if the bank asks for huge amount to settle?
Dear Team,
I have an issue with my credit card, which was issued in 2013 and I used the same till 2018, all the payments had done on time.
Unfortunately, last time in 2018, I was troubled by a financial crisis. Due to the same, I had some amount pending on my credit card, and in 2018, I went to my home country as I lost my job.
This year, two months back, I came back to UAE. Now the bank team is asking for a huge amount for the settlement.
Could you please advise me on how to close this case with the fine by the court?

Can I claim my labor rights if my employer did not renew my contract?
I am a doctor by profession, and my contract with my company was valid till June 2023.
Last year in September 2022, I canceled my company visa to apply for Golden Visa. After stamping my Golden Visa, my company didn't provide me with a new contract.

I bought a flat in April in Dubai with my husband. The flat has a tenant with a rental contract from the previous owner.
The tenancy contract expires in June. The tenant has previously committed to leave and now wants to stay.
1. Can we force the tenant to leave as per previous confirmations?
2. If we can't make the tenant leave, can we modify the contract (rent, number of cheques, etc) because we did not sign the original contract?

My friend has been charged with a case of possession of a narcotic substance schedule 3 for personal use, on 1st March 2023. The quantity was very small, maybe 5 gm.
The case is now in public prosecution under investigation, and he is currently on a travel ban as well.

Can I travel to Qatar if a collection agency told me I have a travel ban for an unpaid loan?
Salam,
I received an email from a company in the UAE - which is a collection agency - informing me that I had a travel ban and arrest warrant issued in the UAE for an unpaid loan a week ago.
I currently live in the US. I have sent them many emails asking them how can I pay or make installments to settle this amount of 332,430 dirhams. I am currently working with them and trying to resolve the issue.
My question is I would like to know if I travel for 5 days to Doha, Qatar in May, will I be detained or I will be ok?
I don’t believe so I just want to be sure because I will be with my family.

My husband lost his job 6 years back and he has not been able to find a job.
He got a loan from a bank and they filed a civil case. We also came to know he has a standing warrant of arrest.
I want to know what I can do for him.
Should my husband go to Dubai Courts and check what he can do to settle the case or they will arrest him immediately?
