Can the ex-employer post a warning about you in newspaper after one year of leaving?

I was working for a company for more than 20 years and last January 2022 was my last working day.

After leaving the company for more than a year, can my old company publish a notice in the newspaper now saying that I don't work for them?

There was no financial fraud or any issues while leaving the company.

This is illegal, and I do not expect the newspaper to agree to publish it at all.

They can only warn that you have left them.

Only if you are dealing with an audience or clients, they warn that you have not become their representative without offending you.
