س: مرحبًا، أريد أن أعرف كيف يمكن الإفراج عن صديقي بكفالة. إنه في السجن منذ 20 يومًا ولم تحضره الشرطة أمام المحكمة. تم عقد جلسة واحدة فقط ولكن صديقي بريء وسؤالي هو: لماذا لم تحضر الشرطة صديقي أمام المحكمة؟ التقيت به الجمعة الماضية في السجن ولم يخبره أحد بتاريخ الجلسة أو وضع القضية أو كيفية الإفراج عنه بكفالة.

Is it mandatory to appear in court when you are summoned?

Q: I have a bank case of AED 64000 for which I was caught from Airport upon my return from vacation on Oct 3rd. I was detained in Naif police station and next day they gave me bail by keeping my passport. Now I have received a summons from court to appear before the prosecutor on Nov 5th. I'm really afraid if they will put me in jail again. I also didn't go for negotiation with the bank as many of my friends advised me that there is no need for that as I will have to pay only a fine of AED 2000 for this. Is it true? I feel very worried as the day is approaching. Please help urgently.

Hello, I was driving my car when the police stopped me at one point on the road and told me that I was driving under the influence of alcohol. I tried hard to deny that because I had not actually consumed any alcoholic beverages that day or in the previous three days. Hello, I'm in Canada, and I filed for divorce. My husband, who owns a real estate company in Abu Dhabi, kidnapped our children and took them to the UAE to avoid the divorce and force me back to him. My children are twin boys, 8 years old, and a 10-year-old girl. What can I do? I want to follow them and take my children back, but he says his local Emirati connections will file criminal cases against me and have me jailed if I go there. What can I do remotely?
