Can I submit my outpass and travel tickets in advance to speed up deportation?
Hello Sir,
In one of your comments/answers to a query, you mentioned that if the individual does not have a valid passport, the process may take longer to obtain a travel document from their embassy.
Is it possible, before getting arrested, that I hand over the outpass and travel tickets to the police so it might be easier for them to deport me?
Dear Questioner,
Thank you for your question!
Yes, in situations where a person is facing possible arrest due to immigration or visa violations, proactively cooperating with authorities can sometimes help facilitate a smoother deportation process.
If you are currently in the UAE without a valid visa or passport, and you have obtained:
- A valid outpass or emergency travel document from your embassy, and
- A confirmed travel ticket,
You may submit these documents to the police or immigration authority before any arrest takes place. This demonstrates your willingness to leave the country voluntarily, and in some cases, this approach may reduce the chance of detention or speed up the deportation process.
However, whether this is accepted and how it is handled will depend on the specific case, the emirate, and the immigration authority involved.
We recommend visiting the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) or the nearest Immigration Department, with your documents, and explaining your situation directly.
If you'd like assistance or legal representation in communicating with the authorities, we would be glad to support you.
Best regards,
