Q: I had a postpaid connection from du two years back, but unfortunately, I had to disconnect within three months due to huge call tariff. Now, they have imposed an amount of AED 2200 for contract termination. I would like to know if I have a travel ban or a legal case. Please help me out.

Q: Good afternoon I would like to know if a travel ban has been issued against me for an outstanding Etisalat bill totalling of AED 3600, does it mean that there's also an arrest warrant? And if I settle the amount, will I be cleared from the blacklist and travel ban?

Q: I want to know is there any Travel BAN for me. I didn't pay my credit card payments for 3 months, I am still in the U.A.E. I am going to India for annual vacation for one month. I'm trying to settle one credit card amount and I also missed last month payment for a 2nd credit card. Is it correct, If I have AED 150 due on Etisalat bill I can't go outside the U.A.E.?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I need your help regarding my SIM Plan. When I signed up for the plan, I specifically requested to use my own number since it's with the same network. The agent agreed, and I provided my ID and signed the documents. He informed me that I had to activate it before I could use it. However, when I attempted to activate it, it did not proceed, and I assumed that I didn't have a plan. I did not contact the agent because I thought that since it was not activated, I would not be charged for anything. After a few months had passed, I began to receive bills, and someone was paying for the plan. I then inquired as to why I had a plan when it wasn't activated. That's when I discovered that another person was using the plan under my name, and I had to pay to cancel it. I don't know who that person is, but the agent informed me that I had to pay for it because it was under my name. The amount reached over a thousand because the person did not pay. Could you please assist me with this situation? I am really confused and don't know what to do.

This Law applies to merchants, as well as to all acts of commerce carried out in the UAE by any person even though he be not a trader.
