Travel ban check for unsettled bills with du
I had a postpaid connection from du two years back, but unfortunately, I had to disconnect within three months due to huge call tariff.
Now, they have imposed an amount of AED 2200 for contract termination. I would like to know if I have a travel ban or a legal case.
Please help me out.
There is no system for anyone to check the ban online.
You need to go in person or give a notarized, legalized and attested Power of Attorney to check if there is a ban, either directly to the Ministry of Interior or the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
In all likelihood, they will try with debt collection agencies first and then file a case. They have to file a case otherwise it will not be treated as bad debts for accounting purpose.
