Employer asking for visa reimbursement after resignation: do I need to pay?
Hello Sir/Madam,
I have already finished my first year with my company and resigned.
My employer is asking me to reimburse the cost of my visa because I did not finish my two-year contract.
Do I need to pay? The cost is 7,000 AED.
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.
If your employment contract includes a clause stating that you must reimburse visa costs if you resign before completing two years, you may need to pay the 7,000 AED as per the contract terms.
Review your contract for your specific situation.

You may resign and serve the notice period.
If they ask you not to attend the office during the notice period, ask them to email you these instructions. Otherwise, you will attend.
