What to do if the employer is reducing the end of services benefits
Q: Hi, My company terminated my contract on 5-01-2021 with a termination letter effective the same day. I was forced to sign that letter and leave the premises. Therefore, they were breaching the contract as the contract stipulates that 30 days notice should be given. I started working for them in 07-11-2019, due to coronavirus I accepted unpaid leave for 15 days in May, 15 days in October and a whole month in December 2020. I filed a complaint and they sent me emails telling me to accept AED 10,637.07 as a total of what they owe me. Today, they want to add AED 7000 to this total but the issue is that it is not even close to what they really owe me. End of service, annual leave (0 paid leave so I should receive the full amount), notice period salary (full amount), air ticket and compensation (1 to 3 months negotiable as per the UAE law). Labour rights of the employee after finishing limited term contract
Q: I have been working on a limited contract with a company for 4 years. I kept on renewing the same contract every 2 years (2016 to 2018 and 2018 to 2020). Two years ago, in Dec 2018, I renewed the same contract. This year, in Dec 2020 (my visa expired on 28 Dec 2020) so I completed my visa and I’m not renewing my visa. Resignation and visa cancellation in Dubai while delegated to another country
Q: Hi, I was employed in a free zone in Dubai but worked in Saudi Arabia on a business visa. Can I ask for any compensation for it if there is nothing related to this in contract? Also, I resigned and served the notice period in Saudi Arabia only and then the company sent me back to the UAE for visa cancellation process as I need to take the final exit. In this case, am I eligible to get the salary until my visa get cancelled or just the for the notice period? The time frame of the execution process in a labour case
Q: Dear Madam, I have a labour case with my previous employer (private company). It started approx 10 months back and court judgement came in favour of me. I am following up with the execution court to get my money. As advised by them, a request was submitted to block the company trade license, letter to banks where the company holds an account was sent in order to transfer money to the court. Question 1) How long will the procedure take to get my money? How to lift a travel ban issued by the court mistakenly against a security cheque
Q: Dubai Court of Execution ordered me to return a cheque. This cheque was issued in a civil transaction that is already annulled. Also, the cheque is already expired. But Court of Execution gave a Travel Ban against me until I return this cheque. The truth is that this cheque was issued in my name but given to real estate agent for safekeeping, the cheque was never handed to me, I don`t have the cheque. How can I now remove the travel ban against me? Claim against a plastic surgeon and clinic after a plastic surgery mistake
Q: Hi. I have a statement from the Dubai Health Authority stating there has been malpractice in my case with my plastic surgeon and I have the right to be compensated. Q: Hi, Yesterday my car has been detained by the police but I was not aware why. When I have been checked at the police station, they told me that there is an issue with the bank.
