Despite contract end, employer demands work till labor card expires

Q: Hi, good day! The contract I signed in the Philippines on February 9, 2022, was set to expire by February 9, 2024. I decided not to renew it and discussed this personally with my employer, who agreed. However, she now informs me that I still need to work until March 23, 2024, as the labor card expires on that day. I entered the UAE on March 23, 2022, and the contract was signed while I was still in the Philippines. Despite this, I have already decided not to continue working for personal reasons. Could someone please explain what my options are?

How to close a police case and lift travel ban if the public prosecution does not respond?

Q: Good day, We are waiting for the final decision of the pubic prosecutor from the headquarters. The police officer told us to wait for 2 days for the response but already 2 weeks still no response. There is a decision already made by the pubic prosecutor. In the police station and the office, they told us to wait for the final decision from the headquarters. Actually, we need to close the police case to remove the travel ban given to us, as the police officer put us a travel ban while the police case was still open and he can only remove when the police case is closed. No criminal case if it happened. What happens to the case if the public prosecutor (headquarters) did not respond to the request for the final decision?

My friend is willing to act as a guarantor to lift my travel ban. Is he eligible?

Q: Good morning, everyone! I have a cheque execution case with a travel ban (although the ban doesn`t show in the DC case data). I`m a salaried employee with a monthly income of 10,000. My best friend, who runs a business in Dubai, is willing to act as a guarantor for my travel. Is he eligible for this role, or should I find someone who is also salaried, like me? I don`t have any blood relatives here. How long does the approval process usually take?

What can I do if the developer canceled my unit and did not refund my deposit?

Q: Hi, I paid a 24% deposit and 4% DLD and my SPA was voided the next day after I signed the SPA. After many emails and telephone calls to the developer, I was told that due to some issues with the booking, they could not proceed with the unit I booked. They were offering an alternative unit about 20 floors lower or a bigger unit at a higher price. Both alternatives were not acceptable. The developer then said that they would cancel and refund the money. I was waiting for their email to confirm this and was wondering what I could do if the developer did not return all the money. Denying labor dues upon resignation and demanding visa charges

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My employer signed an offer letter from a different company, adding a clause stating that if the employee resigns, he needs to give one month`s notice and refund AED 5000 as visa charges. However, I have already signed a contract from another company and received my EID, with no such clause mentioned. Now that I resign by giving one month`s notice, my employer has not paid any salary or benefits even after completing one year and three months. Additionally, they are demanding AED 5000. How to respond when company account funds are seized without notice?

Q: Good afternoon, Respected Lawyers! I live in Ajman. I am facing a situation where I suddenly received a message in my LLC company account SMS stating that a certain amount has been debited and seized by court. The debited amount is too high and the company account had very little cash so it`s showing in minus. Without any calls from the court for a case hearing or judgment, I found this execution message straight away in my bank account SMS. Today, I found the very same message & same amount debited from my personal account too. How is it that the same amount will be taken twice, I have an LLC company and I even own property that is under mortgage. Still trying to get all the details from the court regarding the case that led to this execution. Can this be appealed and come to a better conclusion? Can they seize my personal property, since they have taken over my personal bank account? Kindly guide me in this matter!
