What can I do if my employment visa got rejected multiple times by CID?

Hi Everyone,

I have been working in the UAE since 2019.

Since 31 December 2024, I have been in my home country because my visa was rejected a couple of times.

After waiting for 3 months, I found a new job in the UAE, but the employer told me again that the government did not approve my visa, and that was part of the CID approval.

I would like to know if I can find something to clear my issues, which would allow me again to start my work in the UAE.

Dear Questioner,

Thank you for your message.

If your UAE employment visa has been repeatedly rejected due to CID (Criminal Investigation Department) approval, this usually means there is a security-related issue or restriction recorded in the system, even if no case is active.

What You Can Do:

Request Clarification Through the Employer or PRO:

The new employer can visit the Immigration Department or GDRFA (if Dubai) to ask for the exact reason for the rejection.

Apply for a CID Clearance:

You may submit a request through the Dubai Police website or app for a Criminal Status Certificate or CID Clearance Letter to check if anything is on record.

If There Is a Block or Ban:

You may need to appoint a legal representative (like me) to file an official request to lift the block or resolve the issue with CID or immigration.

Prepare Supporting Documents:

Passport copy, previous visa, Emirates ID (if available), job offer, and any rejection messages received by the employer.

Please let me know if you'd like help requesting CID clearance or following up with immigration. I’ll be happy to assist you.

Best regards,

According to UAE law, rejection of security approvals (such as CID clearance) can prevent the issuance of a visa or work permit.

In such cases, it is advised to approach the relevant authorities, such as the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) or the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, to understand the reason behind the rejection.

Our legal center specializes in such cases and can assist you in checking your legal status and following the proper procedures to resolve the issue.

Dear Client

- Request your prospective employer to obtain an official reason for the rejection from the UAE immigration or labor authorities.

- Contact the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) at 6005-90000 to check for any labor or immigration bans.

- If a ban is identified, inquire about the appeal process or the possibility of obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your previous employer.

- For security (CID) rejections, direct appeals are limited, but you may request clarification through official government channels or the UAE embassy in your home country.

Your proactive approach and clear communication with the relevant authorities will be key to resolving this issue.
