Leaving job during probation period and its consequences

Hi Sir,

I work for a company in Dubai, and it's been three months now. But I do not like it here and I want to go back home.

What am I supposed to do now?

Please advise.

Hello,

With due respect, you need to learn how to stick to your decisions.

If you want to quit your job and go back to your home country because you don't like it, you are most likely to be banned for 1 year as per the UAE Labor Law.

Also, your current employer has a right to recover all the cost that he as incurred on your visa requirements.

If you are on an unlimited contract with a skilled professional's visa and also have already completed your probation, you may give your notice period, and once that is completed, you may leave.

If you violate these requirements, you may get a labour ban for one year and the employer may file a complaint against you.

My advice to you is to check first what type of contract you have. You may call MOHRE toll free no 80060 and confirm about the type of contract from them.

Thank you,

Sir.

It's a two years' contract. Can I quit after my probation period at least?
