Checking travel ban upon leaving the UAE with unfinished issues

I am an Australian who came to Dubai in 1994. In 2013 I had to fly back to Melbourne because my brother passed away.

At the time, I was 7 months pregnant and for the last 5 years, I have dealt with having a baby, getting a divorce, getting child custody and a year of unexpected illness and hospitalisation.

My departure from Dubai was unexpected and never intended on being away for so long. Before I left, I had a credit card for about AED 28,000 and 2 other very small debt about AED 1000 each.

I can't remember the banks, but the one that concerns me most is that I sent a power of attorney to a friend to sell a car. He sold it sent me the money and trusted the buyer would transfer the car into his name and he didn’t.

The driver was stopped by police and the car was confiscated. I tried to locate where, but very hard from Australia. I need a lawyer to resolve my issues in Dubai so that I can return.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for getting in touch with me on this.

Firstly, I believe you have two potential legal issues in the UAE.

1- Your outstanding loan/ credit with banks would have resulted in the bank bouncing your cheque and filing a police case (Not saying this will be for sure but its the usual norm in the UAE and you ought to know the entire circumstance).

2- The non-transfer of the legal ownership of the car and subsequent confiscation. We need to first ascertain the reason for confiscation and case details. Once we get better details, we can prepare a roadmap to clear the same so that your entry to the UAE is smooth.

Please note that in any police case there is an automatic travel ban imposed and you will be detained at the airport.

I trust you will find this appropriate.

Hari Wadhwana

Thank you so much, Hari.

Yes, I am aware of the travel ban as to why I have not travelled and need to make everything right first.

But it’s very difficult for me to do this from here as to why I require legal representation, what is the process to start?

Can you send me an email so that I can explain to you in detail regarding the procedure and manner in which to proceed?

Regards,

Hari Wadhwana

Dear Questioner,

We begin by thanking you for your confidence in us.

In order to solve your problem, it is necessary to determine what is the problem, and you have to make generalizations to get you back to the UAE again.

But what I have deduced to you is that there may be small problems.

The first is the bank's money and this makes a direct circulation if the bank submits the check, causing the car not to turn and the appearance of the other problem.

But before the start of the procedure to verify the circulars existing until we put together a plan to resolve it and you enter the UAE without detention at the airport.
