Civil case for credit card after clearing criminal case

Thanks for contacting online.

The bank has got the option to go ahead with both, a civil case and a criminal case for the bounced cheque.

Even if you pay a fine or go to jail for the criminal case, that will not absolve you from your civil liability.

So the bank can move a civil case also.
