Hello Dear,

Since you have been paying your debts in the past and it's not always in favour of the bank to initiate legal proceedings, please be advised that there are multiple factors playing role in such matters.

Hence, in order to give more accurate advice, I would prefer to see the documents and get detailed information. I would generally advise you of two options:

1) You can negotiate with your bank by your self and see if they agree on a settlement for the pending dues. Mostly they might like to settle but in 2 to 3 payments at max.

2) You can hire a lawyer to send a notice to the bank on your behalf and make an attempt to initiate the process to negotiate with the bank for settlement of the pending dues in shape of instalments.

In case the bank does not want to settle, file an injunction at the court in good faith for a minimum amount that you can pay as instalment and how much you can pay up front against your loan.

Please note that if you delay this process for more than two, max three months after default from 1st payment, the bank may file a criminal case for cheque bounce against you.

This will cause huge problems for you to get an employment visa from MOL or renew visa and puts a travel ban on you until the case is not resolved. The best option is to take care of this problem as soon as possible.
