Recovery of a debt from a person who fled the UAE
Is it possible to recover money from someone who has fled the UAE? The amount I need to recover is close to AED 1,000,000.
The person has most probably gone to Pakistan or Afghanistan.

Even though the person owes you money is not available in the UAE, you can move a civil case against him for the recovery of the amount if you have all sufficient documents regarding the payment due from him.
If you get a judgment from the court, the court will impose a travel ban on him during execution stage and if this man comes back, the amount can be recovered from him.
Otherwise if you manage to get a judgment from here, you can get it executed in his country if you know about his whereabouts.
