The right of claiming child custody by the father
Child custody question. Divorce in Dubai. Minor son is 4 years old.
If the father is Muslim and mother is non-Muslim, what are the requirements of the father to get custody of the child?
Is the relative who has to stay with father required to be a Muslim? Will a 1-bedroom apartment be sufficient?

Dear Sir /Madam
You need to be clear. Please write to me on nikhat@kochhardubai.com

Mrs Nikhat S Khan (MCIArb) (TMC)

The father is the guardian of the child all the time under the law.
Custodianship of the child is a subjective aspect under the discretion of the court.
As I understand from your question, you need to convince the judge that your custody is in the best interest of the child and for the welfare of the child.
I need to understand the facts cumulatively for giving the advice in detail.
