COVID salary deduction: Can I claim it after two years?

Dear Sir/Madam,

During the COVID period, my company deducted my salary until my visa cancellation in 2022, totaling almost two years. Can I claim this salary?

Someone mentioned that the deduction period may have exceeded the one-year time limitation to claim it.

If I am eligible to claim it, what is the procedure, and which labor law or article applies?

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.

If the deducted salary is connected to COVID-19 infractions, you may be able to collect it after one year.

Under UAE Labor Law, companies must pay salaries within the employment contract's time restriction or a reasonable period not exceeding 30 days.

However, statutes of limitations may apply, so consult with us to understand your alternatives and the applicable legislation.

For any further legal assistance, you can WhatsApp us. We have an extensive team of knowledgeable and experienced lawyers to provide the legal assistance you need.

We will be happy to help you.

Thanks and Regards,
