Dear Questioner,

Thanks for contacting online.

If you have a case of harassment, you can file the case in the concerned court. If it is a professional harassment, you can move to the labour court and if is a physical or emotional one you have the right to approach prosecution.

From your question, the nature of harassment is not mentioned. Anyway, if you want to make a case there are options.

Either you can appoint a lawyer to do the work for you or else you can personally approach the concerned court.

Hello Anitha,

One debt collector in the UAE is constantly calling my wife at work, even after she gave my number and email, and threatens to continue to do so telling he will go to any extent. She is very scared and frustrated.

Personally, I have no problem in them pursuing legal methods, but to bully and threaten people that are not involved is above the law. And I think in Dubai also.

I would like to know if it is possible to lodge a complaint in my wife's name to the Public Prosecutor office in Dubai (we tried online but we don't have a residency permit to do so).

Can you offer help on the matter?

Thanks,

Lamberto Azzi
