Should DLD Form F be canceled if it expired for deposit cheque recovery?
Dear Sir/Madam,
Is there a need to cancel DLD Form F if it has expired?
Form F date has expired even after extending by a month, the seller is not selling. The broker is not returning our deposit cheque saying that Form F has to be canceled on DLD.
I want to verify if this is a requirement even though the Form F date has expired.
Dear Questioner,
Thank you for reaching out to me with your inquiry regarding the status of an expired DLD Form F!
I understand your concerns about the situation with the seller and broker, and I appreciate the opportunity to provide clarity on this matter.
In response to your question about whether there is a need to cancel DLD Form F if it has expired, the answer typically depends on the specific circumstances outlined in the agreement and applicable regulations.
While the expiration of Form F may signal the end of a certain period of validity, it's important to assess the terms of your contract, any relevant laws, and the policies of the Dubai Land Department (DLD) to determine the appropriate course of action.
In some cases, the expiration of Form F may not necessarily require formal cancellation if the transaction has not proceeded as planned.
However, it's crucial to address this issue promptly to avoid any potential complications or misunderstandings, especially concerning the return of your deposit cheque.
