Compensation for the employee in case of termination for redundancy
Hi
I'm employed by a Dubai-based LLC entity, and it has been 20 months as of now & my contract states as an unlimited period.
In case the employer terminates my contract with immediate effect due to the cost of redundancy, please advise what will be the end of service & compensations.

Thank you for getting in touch with me on this.
Please note that considering you have been working for 20 months you will be entitled to gratuity for 12 months.
Considering you are apprehensive of being terminated due to redundancy, this amounts to arbitrary termination under the UAE Law, and for this, the law provides you three months salary as compensation.
Hence you will be entitled to gratuity, three months salary as compensation, annual leave salary (if applicable) and air ticket to your home country.
