Compensation towards resignation during probation period

After I filed my resignation under probation period (I'm under free zone company), my employer said that I need to pay AED 10,000 and leave Dubai immediately after visa cancellation is processed.

Can someone please advise me what to do?

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for getting in touch with me on this.

Can you please tell me if your contract was limited or unlimited?

Further, on the basis of which document is your employer asking you for AED 10,000/-.

If there is no undertaking given by you or if the employer is trying to get this money for visa expenses or something else, then it is utterly unlawful and you are not liable to pay this amount.

Please demand documentation for demanding this sum.

I trust you will find this helpful.

My contract was unlimited but in visa, it's under free zone. I'll demand it right away.

And also they said I need to sign the visa cancellation before giving all my salary and stuff, but they didn't give any.

How about the issue of "I need to leave Dubai immediately after my visa is cancelled"? Can they do that?

Thanks a lot, Sir Hari.

You have a grace period in leaving the UAE after visa cancellation. You need not leave asap.
