6
Q: I changed my job and received my EOSB from my previous employer, however, my bank is holding this amount.
Unfortunately, my previous employer didn’t separate my final salary and gratuity as the details on my transaction state EOSB. I found out that this shouldn't be the case and understood that the Employer is responsible to separate this.
Is there a way I can get the salary amount to my disposal and the bank keeps the rest against my outstanding credit cards & loan?
Please note that I have not missed any payments against my outstanding I have provided the bank with my new visa, salary certificate, Emirates ID as requested.
Still, I have been told they will not release my EOSB. I have already received a new employment salary on the same account. I would be grateful for your advice.

Bank account of a terminated employee
7
Q: I need your assistance, please.
I believe that the Central Bank of the UAE may freeze the bank account of a terminated employee. We have a client in the UAE and need to know what the employer’s obligation is to inform the bank when an employee’s contract is being terminated.
Is there a specific format that must be used to inform the bank or what is expected of the employer?

How to transfer salary to another bank after I signed an MoU to buy a property on mortgage?
1
Q: Hi,
I have recently signed an MoU to buy a property and a bank has offered me a good loan package so I want to sign with them.
Therefore, I have asked my employer to produce a Salary Transfer Letter (STL) to be able to sign my loan with this bank.
Just to clarify, I have no loan with any bank, I just have a credit card with my current bank (never had any issue on it). To produce the STL my employer needs a non-objection letter (NOL) from my bank or a No Liability Letter (NLL).
My current bank said the first option is impossible as "they do not have a template for that" and they can only produce a non-liability letter (NLL), however, this is not possible as it takes 45 days after card's cancellation to get the NLL.
My question is: Does my employer really need a NOL or NLL to be able to transfer my salary to another bank? (He never signed anything with my bank).
Employer says there is a tacit agreement between employer and bank when the salary gets transfered to the bank, is that true?

View allUnregulated Forex scam in UAE: Should we hire a lawyer or report to the police? 0
Hi Lawyers,
Many individuals have invested in a Forex trading company based in the UAE.
Should we hire a lawyer to file a case, or can we report it to the police station to summon the involved party, allowing them to settle and refund our money?
The company is not regulated in the UAE, yet it accepts payments in the UAE and manipulates trades, causing clients to lose their money.
Please help us.
Thank you!

Can I put a financial guarantee to remove a travel ban in a rental case at RDC? 0
I used to work as a manager in a company, and my name was removed by the Dubai court of execution.
Now, on the paid rent, I got a travel ban, which I objected to at RDC.
The RDC accepted and gave the next hearing date, as I will have all the court papers.
Is there any way to remove the travel ban, as the objections I made at the execution hearing are next month, almost one month?
Is there any way you can put the amount as a deposit, and once the objection case is over, you can take it back?

My husband and I are Canadian Muslims and he passed away in the UAE. How to open an inheritance case? 0
Hi there,
My husband and I are Muslims. My husband passed away recently.
We have a Canadian will, but I understand that it won’t be honored as I am named the sole beneficiary, and that does not align with Sharia laws in the UAE. He was not a UAE resident but had a small apartment with no Will in the UAE.
We have 3 children. I am planning to go to Dubai to start an inheritance case. I don’t know the exact order of events and what needs to be done first.
1) Do I initiate anything from overseas before making travel plans to Dubai, or do I start once I arrive in Dubai?
Mind you, we cannot afford to stay in Dubai for too long, as the kids have school.
2) Do I need a lawyer, or can this be done by myself?
3) I understand all foreign documents need to be authenticated before presenting them to the court. But I don’t know at what stage I would need these documents authenticated.
I would appreciate it if you could provide a breakdown of the steps, the forms that are needed, and where I can find them.
Thank you

My passport was also retained by the employer. How can I cancel my visa by chance?
I filed a complaint at the labour court. How many days does it take to get a verdict?
