Changing employers in UAE: Will my bank account be affected?

Hello,

I have a query regarding my current situation where my Emirates ID is linked to my bank account.

I am planning to cancel my existing employment visa and apply for a new work permit with a different employer.

I am concerned about whether this change might impact my bank account, particularly if there are any outstanding credit card payments.

Thanks!

Dear Questioner,

True!

If your dues are settled and transferred to the account, they will be placed under restrictions.

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will definitely assist you in this matter.

When changing your employment status and applying for a new work permit in the UAE, your bank account should not be significantly impacted.

You may need to update your information with the bank to ensure your Emirates ID remains linked to your account.

Continue making timely credit card payments and address any outstanding debts as usual. Be sure to check your bank's specific policies and consult them for guidance during this transition.
