Civil case by the bank after paying the fine in a criminal case
Dear Sir/Madam
Can a bank file a civil case after filing a criminal case?
The criminal case has been lifted by paying fine at the police station.
How long does it take for the bank to file a civil case after this?
Am I still liable to pay to the bank after I have cleared my criminal case by paying the said fine?

Dear Questioner,
Thank you for contacting me online.
Even though you have paid a fine in the criminal case and got clearance paper from the court, the bank is at liberty to initiate a civil case against you and the bank can file it at any time before the expiry of six years time.
The fine amount paid to the court in a criminal case is not in discharge of your civil liability. If any civil case is initiated by the bank against you, you have to pay it.

Dear Questioner,
The bank can always file a civil case to recover their money. paying fine to the government will not get the bank money, hence banks are always file civil case for recovery.
The criminal case is being filed for dishonoring the he cheque, which is crime in this part of the world, hence there is a criminal case and fine.
