Which contract is valid in UAE, labor or employment contract?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have a UAE labor contract that is valid from September 29, 2021 to September 29, 2023.
I also have an employment contract with my firm that was signed in November 2022, which states the contract duration to be until September 30, 2025.
I have since obtained a golden visa. Which contract is valid?
I do not want to continue to work with the firm after September 29, 2023.

The valid employment contract in the UAE is the one registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE), which specifies a duration from 29-Sep-2021 to 29-Sep-2023.
This contract is essential for legal purposes and labor law compliance. The internal employment contract with a later date (30-Sep-2025) may include additional terms but should not override the MOHRE-registered contract.
If you do not wish to continue working with the firm beyond 29-Sep-2023, notify your employer according to the notice period in the MOHRE contract.
