Q: Hi madam,
If a lot of cheques equal to AED 300,000 have been bounced and cases are filed and a travel ban imposed, what will be the punishments or consequences to be faced if caught?
I can't afford to pay back even 1,000 Dhs. Will I have to pay the full amount?
Please advise.
Thanks

Q: I filed a police case against an individual who borrowed money from me. I have both his personal cheques and company cheques for the amount.
He got a fine and was released from custody in a criminal case. Can I add his other company cheques that also bounced in the same case?
Also, will he get a prison sentence if I file a complaint on his personal cheques?

Bank claim to pay a loan after paying a fine in the criminal case

Q: Good afternoon
I have a case regarding a loan with a bank. They put on me a police case for a bounced cheque. I have already attended a court and paid a penalty.
Then I got notification from the court that I am free, but the bank still pushes me for making a minimum payment.
The question is if I have already paid a penalty to the court, does the loan still continue?

Asking not to file a civil case and wait for about a month upon cheque bounce
1
Q: Hi Mr. Ibrahim,
If you have time, I need your opinion on my question.
I decide to move a case I need to do it with someone who knows the local law. I have a bounced cheque from a financial institution in the UAE in the amount of 550,000 AED.
The CEO who gave me the cheque closed the account after issuing the cheque showing proof that his intention was not to pay. When I deposited the cheque, he requested a 2 weeks period to pay me 20% of the amount and begged to wait and not to file a case as he will pay the rest by mid-January.
I have 2 questions:
1- I know that there are changes to the law effective 2nd January, would these changes affect the fact that the cheque bounced in December?
2- Is partial payment a way to block the case and take it to loops for years?

Q: Dear Sir,
I have a credit card cheque bounce case of AED 18,000.
I've already paid the fine of AED 2020 at the police station but the bank is still calling me for the payment of AED 18,000.
They told me they're filing a civil case against me.
Please tell me about the further procedure if they file a civil case, and if there is any travel ban or any other fine on me.

View allPayment recovery for delay in the delivery of purchased property 0
Hi,
I need to hire a property lawyer.
I have purchased a property that is still under construction. The handover was supposed to be May 2018 and it has been delayed for over 18 months.
Can you please advise what is the average fee to the lawyer and any upcoming fees?
I would like to either receive compensation for the delay or terminate the SPA and receive what I have paid.
Thanks
