The safe option for starting a new business in the UAE
I am interested in starting a new business in Dubai. The offering will be videography/photography and organising events. I am getting contacted by some people who:
1) Wish to transfer their licenses to me (One kind gentleman even agreed to do it for free, he has a few months left before the license expires and is not using it).
2) Some other people suggesting that I can use their general trading license to start my business, by paying them a cut in my profits/some payments on a monthly basis.
I want to understand the legal perspective of both these kinds of situations. What should I watch out for? Is this kind of sub-leasing of license legal?
In Dubai, now, it is very easy to get a new license within 48 hours, with a very easy process.
In my opinion, to protect yourself start a new license without any potential obligations against the old license.
