Q: Hi, I have taken a loan from the bank worth AED 450000. I lost my job in 2016 and was unable to pay the instalments, then left Dubai. Bank people never contacted me and I left as I was unable to pay the monthly instalments. Now I am in India. I have got another job in Dubai and I am very keen on joining it. I contacted the bank through email asking their help to sort this, they asked me to call the call centre. When I called the call centre no one was able to help me, they just said "we will get back to you", but no reply yet. For 1 month, they are not able to help me. Now, I have to join my new job in Dubai asap, and unable to understand what to do. I am ready to pay half amount now and remaining half in instalments on monthly basis. But I don't know whom to contact and how to get this sorted. PS: I don't have any friend in Dubai who is ready to help me and go and negotiate with the bank on my behalf. Q: Hello, I have a personal loan (296k) with a bank which I took in October 2019. My EMI (7842) started in January 2020. I have been sincerely paying the EMI's from January 2020 till May 2021. I stopped after that because of job loss during the pandemic times. I have lost my job in August 2020 and still, I have made sure to make the payment of my EMI's on time till May 2021. And now the bank people have started sending multiple third-party people belonging to different companies from India harassing me and my family with calls and messages. They also reached my home shouting in front of it ill-mannerly with my mother who is a heart patient. With this kind of behavior, my family's respect has been tarnished in front of the neighbor's. Q: I would like to know about my issue: The bank sent me an email for a cheque execution notification case, an arrest warrant is in process and a travel ban is active. I have a personal loan of AED 50,000, two days after receiving the email, the bank called for a 50% discount for them to stop the case but I have to pay the full amount, a one-time payment. Since I cannot source this amount, I requested if they can offer installments but they refused and said they will proceed. At the moment, I still haven't received any sms or email from Dubai Courts. I am worried about the warrant. Please help. What should I do?
