كيف تعرف ما إذا كانت هناك دعوى مرفوعة ضدك؟
عزيزي المحامي خليفة،
حدث لي موقف غريب يوم السبت 14 يناير وأنا قلق بشأنه بعض الشيء. كنت أوصِّل ضيفين جاءا كسائحين إلى فندق في دبي وركنت سيارتي في منطقة النزول.
كنت أودّعهما لكن سيارة توقفت خلفي وبدأت في إطلاق بوقها. فقد السائق صبره وسد طريقي. جاء ليتحدث معي وحتى أنه صفعني على يدي.
لم أرغب في متابعة المناقشة وحتى أنني اعتذرت (ربما لأنه كان في عجلة من أمره). ومع ذلك، ابتعدت عندما حرك سيارته وقال إنه سيتصل بالشرطة.
أخذ رقم سيارتي ولست متأكدًا مما إذا كان قد رفع دعوى ضدي.
هل هناك أي طريقة للتحقق من ذلك؟ وكم تكلف؟ مع الأخذ في الاعتبار أن الحادث وقع يوم السبت؟

For starters, you can present your Emirates ID to the representatives at the Dubai Courts, who will issue a sort of “clearance letter,” which states whether you have a case filed against you or not, or you may approach Al Adheed first.
Furthermore, you may do the same but at the Dubai Police who can check their system to see if any criminal case is filed against you.
Should you not have time to conduct the search, we may do so on your behalf for AED 1,500 and we would need to do a Power of Attorney.
