Questions & Answers
Can I transit in the GCC countries if I have an unpaid loan and credit card in the UAE?
I left Dubai and came back to the UK following the loss of my Mom.
I then did not return to the UAE as my company terminated my contract (did not cancel my visa).
However, I had a loan and a credit card which as yet I have not been able to repay.
Despite contact with the bank, no agreement has been reached, and no claim has been made against me to the court.
Can I transit through any other GCC country if I have unpaid debts in the UAE?
Thanks
Dear User,
You may transit through GCC countries even if you have unpaid debts in the UAE. However, you may not transit through the UAE if there is a case against you and a creditor, i.e., the bank, has imposed a travel ban upon you.
If as you said there is no claim against you then there isn't a problem.
It would be advisable to check again if there is any court case or travel ban. You may email us regarding this matter if you require our legal assistance.

Dear Querist,
To answer your question yes there is possibility of active travel ban against you in UAE as well as in other GCC countries due to unpaid debts.
However, we can certainly help you with status check to find out your current legal status in the UAE.
