Q: I was asked to help a friend find some representation, in an application of legal notice, against a beauty center in Dubai.
XYZ attended a facial appointment mid-Sep 22 whereby she suffered quite nasty chemical burns across her face as she undertook professional treatment.
Apologies were given at the time and XYZ was led to believe that this skin reaction/scarring was quite normal but, symptoms would elapse over a month or so.
9 weeks later and the burns are still present, considerably so, and much to her horror and disbelief. She is obviously very upset.
I wonder if anyone in this forum has experience in such matters to help/advise her on the process to take court/legal action against the salon.
This salon is clearly not following the correct procedure, and without further treatment to remove her scars, she now carries this for life.
I look forward to a few notes (perhaps on past experience) and the pricing structure of your fees, please.

Can I claim compensation from a beauty center for wrong treatment?

3
Q: I got 2nd-degree burns in my buttocks and 1st degree burns in 6 places thru a slimming beauty center where I was advised to do a Detox machine.
They wrapped me full and put me in high heat. I screamed for help but no one came until it was 20 minutes. I got burnt which I didn't realize but told it's too hot, switch off treatment, I don't want.
I want to sue the company for compensation due to their negligence. I have had a sleepless night. On my birthday date, I was in the hospital for 4 hours. I had to go to Dr every day for the bandage.
I am traumatized. I went to the police station. I went to DED but in the end, they said to go to Court. I am confused. I have a medical report plus all my burns photos. It happened on April 3rd.
Please guide me.
Thank you.

Suing a beauty salon for damages occurred during a standard procedure

2
Q: Dear community,
Our relative is on a tourist visa in Dubai. She has visited a beauty salon yesterday in DIFC. A standard procedure has resulted in severe cut with continuous bleeding, in sensitive parts.
The salon didn't charge her and they followed up asking if she was okay. We bought medicine to stop the bleeding at home. We didn't visit the hospital or a doctor, as we have an 8-month-old baby and it is not easy to do this.
At this stage, we want to sue them for these damages, because it is yet to be seen how this will impact in the future.
Kind Regards,

Suing a salon for damages after a pedicure resulted in severe injury and distress

1
Q: Hello,
I am wondering how I can sue or report a ladies' salon in Abu Dhabi for physical and emotional distress after a pedicure led to urgent care for a severe infection.
I was prescribed antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medication, painkillers, and given an injection in my buttocks. I am now on crutches and unable to walk. A week after the pedicure, I underwent surgery to have my nail and skin surgically removed as a result.
I spoke with the salon the day after my appointment when my foot swelled up and I went to the hospital. The technician refused to let me speak to the owner and begged me not to report her.
I am extremely distressed and fed up, and I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I have all my medical records, proof of payment to the salon, and WhatsApp messages between myself and the salon discussing my toe.
What legal grounds do I have to sue the salon for damages?
Thank you!

Medical treatment provided to patients does not always achieve the desired results, and sometimes it may lead to catastrophic consequences that cannot be remedied. This is due to several factors, some of these factors are related to the therapist or to the patient himself, or even related to God's will. It was, therefore, necessary for the legislator to intervene and develop the laws governing medical malpractice cases and set the limitations of liability for the therapist in such cases.

Can I cancel my house sale contract without extra fees after personal plans changed? 0
Dear Lawyers,
I signed a Form F with a buyer for the sale of my house as we were planning to leave the country. The contract was signed about a month ago, but the handover is not until August.
Due to personal circumstances changing, we are no longer leaving Dubai and would like to cancel Form F.
The Form F contract stipulates that we have to pay the buyer 10% of the purchase value. The real estate agent is now claiming that we also have to pay the buyer's real estate commission and the conveyancing fee.
Our understanding is that the 10% penalty is the only penalty. Which is correct, and what are the next steps to dispute this?
Also, is there any way to dispute the 10% itself under the law due to personal circumstances changing?

Can the landlord evict me from apartment for personal use if he lives in his own property? 0
The owner sent me a notice by email saying that he doesn't want to renew the contract for the purpose of personal use.
He didn't mention what this personal use means. He already has multiple houses for rent and he has his own which he is living in currently.
Is it legal to evict me?
Thanks
