What are the procedures and time needed to remove a travel ban?
Can someone remove the travel ban for my father and tell me the procedure and how many days it will take to be removed?
Dear User,
A travel ban can be imposed for multiple reasons, therefore we can not offer accurate advice without knowing the facts of the case and why the travel ban has been imposed initially (criminal ban, civil ban, medical/immigration ban?).
Furthermore, it can not be guaranteed that the travel ban will be removed nor how long it will take as it may differ from case to case.
In a civil case, a creditor is most likely to impose the travel ban and the debtor may request in court to remove it or with the creditor.
A criminal ban is imposed by the Police, Court, or Public Prosecution, one may also request to remove it but it may be unlikely according to the nature of the crime.
Furthermore, if it is a medical ban (due to TB or other banned diseases) then the ban is permanent (lifetime ban) and one may not enter the UAE.
