Arrest because of unpaid bank loan

Yes, it is possible.

Probably the arrested has been contacted by the bank collection department, legal department and external lawyers already for the repayment of the outstanding amount. When the bank sees no use of contacting the borrower for the collection they refer the case to the Court or to the Police Department in case they have a guarantee cheque issued by the borrower.

The problem can be solved by negotiation with the bank. Probably a full settlement will be needed as the arrested borrower is in a very weak negotiations position.
