A client is not paying while 95% of work is complete. What to do?

Dear sir/madam,

I am an interior decor contractor. My client kicked us out of a site that was about 95% complete, on a flimsy pretext. Then he brought in another contractor to complete the works citing issues with my work (without a joint inspection).

I am completely broke due to the nonpayment from his side.

How can I recover my balance payment (up to when we stopped)? We have a DIAC arbitration clause in our contract.

Hi,

What was the reason for hiring the new contractor? My firm does have a team that deals with arbitration cases in DIAC.

If you want, you can visit my office and meet with Ms. Shweta; she is dealing with all such cases.

You can contact us via email for the meeting.

Thanks for your prompt reply!

I have the notice of termination from the client's lawyers and my reply to the notice as well. I will bring it along when I come to your office. I will contact Ms. Shweta for an appointment.

Thank you!

You can bring the entire document if possible when you come for the meeting with Ms. Shweta.

Hello,

As you have a non-payment issue, and there is DIAC jurisdiction, you have to go by arbitration and then recover through Dubai Court.

You can send a legal notice at first. However, for this procedure, there will be a cost. If there is some security amount stuck by the employer, that you can ask through the legal notice.

You can also collect it through debt recovery collection. However, we need to check the documents for the same.

Please send the documents to us, so that we can check them and get back to you.
