Is it mandatory to have a male guardian in order to get married in the UAE?

I am a Muslim expatriate in the UAE. My father passed away and my brother is unable to visit the UAE for being the guardian for my marriage.

How can I get married without a guardian?

Your brother can send an authorization letter to any male relatives in the UAE and then can process the marriage as a witness.
