What happens after imprisonment due to an unpaid loan?

Dear sir/madam,

A person has a civil case of 250,000 AED. If he is unable to pay for that, what will happen?

If he got imprisonment, what will happen after finishing it?

Hello,

If there is a civil case, then on non-payment, there will be a travel ban and arrest warrant. The maximum term is 3 years, for the arrest, however, we can solve the case if there is any chance of settlement with a payment plan.

Yes, there will be a travel ban. After the imprisonment, it will take a maximum of 3 years to get out and in some cases 6 years, depending upon the case.
