How to let the tenant vacate the property after purchasing it?

Hi!

I have recently purchased an apartment in Dubai and was planning to move to it. The tenant verbally said that he was leaving, but now refuses to vacate.

The contract with the previous landlord expires in 3 days. His rent is below the market rate.

Can I increase the rate?

How can I evict him?

Hi,

You need to provide a 1-year notary notice for the eviction of the tenant specifying that you don't have any other property and you want to use it for your own personal use.

If the previous landlord gave him a notary notice for the eviction you can use that. To increase the rent you need to inform the tenant a minimum of 90 days prior to the expiry of the contract.

You can’t increase the rent as long as the previous contract is going to expire in 3 days.

The contract should continue with previous conditions if the previous landlord did not send the tenant a notice before 3 month of contract expiration.
