Q: Hi,
I represent a company and would like to seek clarity for the following scenario:
If an employee has exhausted his paid sick leaves of 15 days and is still not able to join work back due to his persisting illness, can the employee opt to avail his annual leaves instead thereafter of avoiding the 50% pay cut due to the availing of 30 days sick leave provision available to an employee?
Kindly advise as it would be of great help, please!
Many Thanks,

Company's refusal to pay an employee's annual paid leave

Q: My friend has a contract which states that she gets 30 days' annual "paid leave" after every 12 months of a completed work year.
With approved and signed leave, she went on leave, and on return, the company refused to pay her 30 days' salary whilst she was on leave.
What can be done?

Employee's rights upon termination for redundancy under the new labor law
2
Q: Dear sir/madam,
My first day was 03oct, 2021. On Friday 1st March 2022, I was verbally informed by my manager that they have made my position redundant and HR will get back to me.
Today is Monday, however, they did not give me any written notice until today 04th April 2020 and now my six months are already complete.
As per the new labor law 2022, may I ask for the below:
1. 1-month salary/notice period.
2. 3-months salary towards arbitrary termination.
3. Salary-in lieu of leaves.
4. Air ticket to home country.

The public prosecution appealed a judgment to increase the fine I already paid. What do I do now? 0
Good afternoon,
Thank you for your time.
The public prosecution appealed my judgment (a fine that I satisfactorily cleared) and requested increasing the fine.
Can you please explain what happens during a criminal case appeal hearing for me as a defendant?
Will I be asked questions?
Is the hearing just for the Public Prosecution to present their appeal to the judge, and I do not need to give a response?
Thank you again for your time.

He got arrested two months ago and he is in Ajman, Jurf jail. He is asking us to give money to a lawyer to make the court order and release fast.
Is it possible?
How long will it take for his release and court order?
What will be the court order?

I purchased an apartment, but the previous landlord refuses to vacate. What to do? 0
Hello,
I bought an apartment, but the previous landlord is refusing to vacate it. The contract clearly states that the landlord should hand over the apartment on the day of the transfer.
Out of courtesy, I gave him three days to vacate so he could find a new place to stay, but the time has passed, and he is still refusing to vacate and hand it over.
What should I do in this case?
