Getting a deportation judgment removed upon the issuance of a new law

Hi,

I have been sentenced to a 5k fine and deportation. However, the law has changed now and I would want to remove my deportation as it is my only case in the UAE since 7 years.

Can I appeal the case if it was in 2020 not now?

Dear questioner,

If the judgment was a default judgment (made in your absence) then you can appeal it, otherwise, you can only make a request to remove the deportation and the chances of it being accepted are not that high.
