Q: Hello,
I joined a company in March and worked for one month on a visit visa. Later I exited the UAE and came back on April by employment permit. My visa was processed in the month of June and the date of residence visa as stamped is June 18.
I want to know, which period will be calculated for my probation confirmation? Will it be April or June or March itself?
Moreover, if I am to resign now, will I face an employment ban? I am ready to serve the notice period for 45 days but will I get paid for the same period? If the company is relieving me of my notice period by reducing days, do I have to pay money to the company?
Please suggest me a solution as I'm looking for a job change.

Q: Dear Khubaib,
I am an employee working in a private firm with an unlimited contract. I have resigned and my contract determines 60 days as a notice, however, I want to serve only 30 days due to other issues.
The company forces me to serve full 60 days. Can I use "compensation in lieu of notice" and pay for the 30 days notice or can the company (if they want) still request a one-year ban on me?

As the new job is outside the country, I am requesting my company for 2 weeks' notice and I agree to pay compensation.

I currently have a contract that is set to end on December 21, 2023. However, I have decided that I do not wish to renew my contract and would like to pursue a new job opportunity.
I would like to inquire about the appropriate time for submitting my resignation letter. Considering that my contract ends on December 21, 2023, when would be the most suitable time for me to hand in my resignation?
Additionally, once my previous employer cancels my visa, I would like to know how much time I have before I need to obtain a new visa for my next job.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could provide me with some guidance on this matter.

Hi,
I am resigning from my company after working for 3 years. I signed another contract after the first 2 years were completed.
I was under the impression that the entire time my contract was unlimited but now I am being told that it was changed to limited.
Not only was this done without my knowledge but I am now being told that legally I am not entitled to ANY gratuity after 3 years because I am resigning before my 2 years is finished. Is this legal?

I am an employee working here in Dubai, UAE for 10 months now.
I'm planning to file a leave for 2 days, however, my colleague informed me that as per the company policy, they consider it as absent then I will get a full basic + accommodation only.
So I am confused now because this was not the practice in the previous company. Appreciate it if I could get free advice on this matter.

What to do if the new employer renewed my ID and visa without giving me a contract? 0
Hi.
My new employer renewed my ID and visa. The only thing is that when my Emirates ID and visa were done, they didn't show me any contract nor did I sign it.
They didn't provide me with a copy of it. So I want to ask if I can complain regarding this matter?
